Draft A Lore is an offline-first writing application for manuscripts, story planning, and branching adventures. It has no account, no server, and no telemetry. Your work is stored on your own device.

This is a pre-release: everything listed below works, but the Android build has not yet been tested across a wide range of real devices.

Downloads

(check out my git hub repo https://github.com/Hexxis-cmd/Draft-A-Lore )DraftALore.html — the entire application in one file. Save it anywhere and open it in a browser. No installer, and no internet connection needed after the download.

DraftALore-Desktop-Windows.zip — the same single file plus a Windows helper that creates a desktop shortcut opening the app in its own window, with its own icon. Nothing is copied, registered, or sent anywhere; the app runs from the folder you unzip it into. Keep the two files together.

DraftALore.apk — Android build for direct installation, signed with the project's own release key. Android warns about installing outside the Play Store; allow it if you trust this download.

Writing

Manuscript editor with chapters, word counts, targets, and a distraction-free mode Characters with relationships, plot threads, lore folders, and a mind map A dashboard with word output over 7 days, 30 days, 12 weeks, or 12 months, and writing goals Library and reader views, cover settings, and a book preview

Reading preferences — typeface, text size, line spacing, drop caps, page width and theme — that apply across the library, the book preview, and playable stories, and persist between sessions

Export to TXT, Markdown, HTML, or a single chapter, or save a whole project as a .dalz bundle that carries its images and audio with it

Branching adventures

Story graph with pan, nine zoom levels, and a grab tool for moving the canvas

Stats with minimums and maximums, traits, and items with stack limits and equipment slots

Choice requirements built from your own stats, traits, items, flags, and visited scenes

Effects that change stats, traits, inventory, equipment, and flags, or redirect and end a run

Endings, and run-ending rules that stop a run when a stat crosses a line you set

+ so much more!
